How I work

You taught me about self acceptance, forgiveness, removal of guilt, responsibility, to stop overthinking, self belief via chakras, transference, and evaluation of my past and current relationships. The list is endless but everything comes to an end, and I wish you every success for the future. I will never forget you, your future clients will be honoured to have you. Roberto

I am an integrative transpersonal psychotherapist. My way of working draws from a range of therapeutic theories and approaches, allowing me to tailor therapy to the unique needs of each client.

Over the years, I have found that while many clients initially seek support to develop their cognitive and emotional awareness, it is through a transpersonal, spiritually grounded, and compassionate approach that deeper shifts and lasting improvements often occur.

I integrate many approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gestalt, and Person-Centred. These modalities are gently held within the framework of transpersonal theory, which honours spiritual values, meaning, and the innate potential for growth and transformation within each individual.

It means that my work is conversational (talk therapy), but also very dynamic, which might include music, artwork, body movement, creative imagination, dreams, prayer, guided meditation and mindfulness.

The integrative approaches I use are:

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Psychodynamic
  • Person Centred
  • Transpersonal (chakras, healing through breath and sound, guided meditation)
  • Gestalt

I offer sessions in both English or Portuguese.

I'm a Registrant Clinical Member of PACFA (Australia) and UKCP (United Kigdom).
